The group that started the 1st Agricultural Revolution were the early members of humanity.

The 1st Agricultural Revolution was the transition of humans from migrant hunting or gathering to inactive agricultural production of taming plants and animals. When? It started around 11,000 BC (the exact time is uncertain). What did humans do? Humans changed entirely. During this period humans began settling into single areas and started farming the land, planting crops, and raising animals. How did it change the way humans lived? Without stationary living and agriculture, most civil changes and technological modernization would not have been possible.

Seed drills, one of the new inventions in technology was invented during the 2nd Agricultural Revolution. Helped with farmers Planting rows.

2nd Agricultural Revolution Had many new innovations in technology, and helped improve the food production to feed more than just the farmers and a village. Also, transporting goods got easier with the railroads. When? It started in the 17th century and occurred until the end of the 19 century. What changes happened in farming? Artificial feed and new fertilizer was introduced. Also, planting in rows became more common for farmers so they could manage and harvest easier.

In this picture, the green pepper is being genetically modified. This is a big part in the 3rd Agricultural Revolution.

What are GMOs? GMO stands for genetically modified organism and they are organisms whose genetic code has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally. How do they change farming? GMOs help the farmers crops resist pesticides in the crops. Pros of GMOs They help conserve food supply, lower food costs, and help combat hunger. Cons of GMOs Too much exposure to GMOs can lead to chronic health problems in the future.

Difference between subsistence, sustainable, and commercial farming? Subsistence is self-sufficiency farming. Farmers only grow enough food for their families or local requirements. Sustainable Farming for the environment. Commercial Farming is farming where food is produced with advanced technology.

4 fun facts- 3rd Agricultural Revolution is called the green revolution. Seed drill was invented during the 2nd Agricultural Revolution. The first domesticated food animal was sheep, and the 1st Agricultural Revolution was also called the Neolithic Revolution
