Edward snowden is a hero

Edward Snowden isn't a traitor because according to " The New Yorker" he did no harm to the national security. They also stated that he performed a great public service. For letting the American people know that their national government was violating there personal & individual rights. That everyone in entitled. What he leaked it didn’t reveal anything about the algorithms that the N.S.A. uses, the groups or individuals that the agency targets, or the identities of U.S. agents. They didn’t contain the contents of any U.S. military plans, or of any conversations between U.S. or foreign officials. They were spying on tens of millions of people. Using AT&T & sprint call logs between people, using Facebook & Twitter. Keeping tabs of every single person but locked safe away forever. He stood up for our rights, yet he faces decades in prison for it.

What these videos show/explain. Is how brave Edward Snowden is for even doing this heroic act. How nobody wouldn't dare expose their country of wrong doing. How everybody is focused on him exposing his country. But nobody wants to question the government about them spying on them. Without even knowing. How their passwords and social media accounts can be hacked in a matter of seconds. How each and every phone call can be recorded. How even when your not using your laptop with a camera the government can look through it and see what your doing. But everyone is so focused on what he did wrong. An how was committed treason. When the national government is and broke all of your individual rights.

"I can't in good conscience allow the U.S. government to destroy privacy, internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they're secretly building" ~Edward Snowden~

Edward Snowden didn't expose any of the American government secrets, that the American people shouldn't know. The national government was invading the rights of the people. Spying on them secretly weather they were criminals, convicts, rich, poor. They were recoding phone calls, hacking into your social media. An accessing your passwords also.

In conclusion, to my evidence we can clearly see Edward Snowden wasn't a threat nor a traitor. He did was he thought was right for his people. Showing everyone that their own government was spying on them like terrorist. For them to do it secretly was breaking many laws. The only peeple who broke laws. We're the American government. To spy on their own people is illegal and violates there admendment laws and human rights. Although many people may believe that he is a traitor an betrayed his country he still didn't right thing. He made people more aware of what they need to be doing online and how they talk to people. Considering the fact that they were tapping into and recording your phone calls. Thus the fact the only thing he released to the people was, what the government was doing to their own country. Not to foreign countries. Not their plan of attack but what they were doing to their own people. Which is wrong. Which is why Edward Snowden is a hero.
