On the 29th of October 2016 we came together
for the first PhiloBarCamp in Berlin.
Some feedback:
"This first PhiloBarCamp was an insightful event, where you could discuss philosophical topics with interesting people from the field. The atmosphere was open and relaxed so everyone could bring in their thoughts and ideas. I would love to see further PhiloBarCamps in the future." Armin Papenfuß
"Thank you for organizing the PhiloBarCamp some weeks ago! I think that the concept is very interesting, and I'm already looking forward to the next installment." John R. Sageng
We discussed some interesting topics!
John gave a talk: "What is Analytic Philosophy?" We discussed the difference of so called continental and analytic philosophy. Though, many philosophers deny that there is a serious distinction.
In another session we discussed questions about knowledge and information in the digital era. Not every information we find online is recognized as knowledge. Some webpages are more reliable than others - but why do we think so?
Wishlist for the next #PhiloBarCamp: more topics and participants!
The next #PhiloBarCamp
will take place
on the 8th of April
in Berlin.
