Los Bitchos are ready to release their latest single into the wild. 'Pista (Great Start)' will drop digitally and on a 7" on August the 12th via Bad Vibrations.
Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos grabbed hold of the production reins and the results are a heady mix of instrumental Cumbia, tinged with bursts of psychedelia and a hint of garage rock.
The band are fronted by multi-instrumentalist Serra Petale on lead guitar. She's flanked by Carolina Faruolo (guitar), Agustina Ruiz (keytar), Josefine Jonnson (bass), and Nic Crawshaw (drums / percussion).
Currently the gang reside in London but the members hail from as far and as wide as Perth (Australia), Montevideo, Stockholm, and Croydon.
The live rep continues to grow and the girls have recently signed to ATC LIVE which is home to the likes of Nick Cave, Mac De Marco & Black Midi.
In a short space of time they have already supported and toured with Bill Ryder Jones, Bodega, Methyl Ethel, The Murlocs and Kikagaku Moyo. Whilst Los Bitchos have also seamlessly stepped into the festival scene filling tents, warehouses and fields with their party vibes at All Points East, The Great Escape and Latitude Festival.
"Los Bitchos are cool. They are all Attitude and killer tunes. Truly international with Cumbia beats, Turkish psychedelia, a hint of Swedish pop and a touch of shoegaze shimmer. More than anything, they put you in a really good mood when you listen to them. Going into the studio, we had such a good time. They’re a band that can really play and that’s what you hear on this record: a room full of Los Bitchos. I can’t wait for people to hear it." - Alex Kapranos
