Italy Eva

Rome is a very interesting city and it is a place I would like to visit in the future.

The Pantheon, Rome

Some of the reasons I would want to visit Rome are it’s famous buildings, the language, religion and art. The famous building I want to visit is the Pantheon built in 118-128 AD. At the center of the Pantheon is a hole in the roof. While visiting Italy I would be able to hear a lot of people speaking Italian. There are 65 million Italian speakers in the world.

Michelangelo, the David

Roman religion was challenged by Judaism and Christianity, because it threatened the Roman religion. The reason roman religion was challenged was because they didn't believe it was right to worship roman gods. The one reason I am most excited is to see the art, the David is a famous sculpture by Michelangelo, the David is a very tall sculpture made out of marble. The statue represents David from the bible, the story of David and Goliath. I can’t wait to go to Rome, to see the art, the famous buildings, to hear the language and to learn more about the religion.

I would also like to know the main differences between Venice and Florence.

Venice

Venice is a well known Watertown with 416 bridges and Florence is famous because of it’s art. The famous buildings in Venice are Museo correr, Ca’b’Oro, Doge’s palace and San Stea. In contrast the famous buildings in Florence are St. Regis Florence, Palazzo Pitti, Palazzo Vecchio and Bargello. The famous foods in Venice are Lampredotto, Panzanella, Bistecca alla Fiorentina and Pappardelle alla lepre. In contrast the famous foods in Florence are Riotto, Ravioli, Scampetti with polenta and carpaccio. I can’t wait to visit Italy so I can see the difference between Venice and Florence.

Palazzo Pitti, Florence

pizza

One of my favorite Italian foods, is pizza. Here is the recipe of how to make pizza. First we need to combine 600 ml of warm water, 7 cups (1 kg) flour, 3-5 teaspoons (25 grams) of fresh yeast, 6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoons of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar and mix it together to create pizza dough. After that you would put butter on a pan and then roll out the dough to place it on the pan. The final ingredient is to cover the dough with sauce and cheese. The oven needs to be set at 375 degrees and put the pan then in the oven. When it is finished cooking you enjoy it.
