As committees begin to take up our bills, we wanted to introduce you to two our bills that facilitate change in community access to services and to the children’s behavioral health system.

State Budget Updates

We're almost to the finish line!

The FY22 Budget is now in Conference Committee where differences between the House and Senate proposals will be reconciled. We're advocating for the same priorities you all have supported throughout the budget process, and we need your help one last time!

Sesame Street in Communities: The ABC's of Racial Literacy

All kids need a strong individual and group identity, but racism hurts the healthy development of both. Racism hurts our entire society. Whether you and the children in your care are directly affected by racism or you’re allies of those who are, engaging honestly and directly with little ones is the beginning of building racial literacy

I eventually pulled myself out of that deep, all-consuming hole with the help of my family, but it changed me. Lots of people go through depression, it’s not an uncommon thing, but the darkness was so huge I lost myself.

Studies show teen substance use rises during the summer, especially on evenings and weekends. We should encourage teens to have fun without the use of substances...
