Emma and Ian's Wedding at the very stately Samlesbury Hall in Preston, Lancashire. This was my first time photographing here and it was also the most stormiest (in weather terms only) wedding I have shot too. It was gale force winds and quite torrential rains at times, but myself and my most excellent bride and groom took it all in our stride.
The Ceremony room has a lot of light streaming through making it ideal for no flash whatsoever and the balcony above where the nuptials take place is the most splendid viewpoint from which to take photos. Check out the photos below for very unique opportunities.
The actual grounds are quite vast and there are many nooks and crannies in which to be creative photographically even if the weather is bad. Luckily we got moments of rain free photography but it was down to good judgement and a bit of daring at the end of the evening.
The banqueting hall is spectacular and suited the floral arrangements and beautiful candles. It really was a sight to be seen.
