Our Soldiers rachel easturn & Carson Wright

"When you go home, tell them of us and say, 'For your tomorrow we gave our today.'" -pixabay.com. An American soldier is courageous, loyal, dependable, brave, patriotic, fearless, faithful, and many more. They are our greatest strength as a nation.

"In Flanders Fields the poppies blow between the crosses, row on row, that mark our place; and in the sky the larks, still bravely singing, fly scarce heard amid guns below. We are dead, short days ago, we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, loved and were loved, and now we lie in flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: to you with failing hands we throw the torch; be yours to hold it high. if ye break faith with us we die we shall not sleep, though poppies grow in flanders fields." -commonswikimedia.com

They risk their lives for us to sleep peacefully at night. Nobody appreciates or thanks them as much as they should with all that they do for our nation. They leave their families for months maybe even years knowing that they might not come back alive.

Carson: Before I was born my dad went into the army and after basic training in his first week he got shot in the ankle.

Our soldiers are our greatest strength as a nation because they PROTECT us. They make sure that we are SAFE. "What we live with, we learn, and what we learn, we practice. And what we practice, we become, and what we become, has consequences." -Sandra D. Wilson, PHD. To break this quote down, it basically means that these soldiers have to live with the visual of dead humans and blood, they learn from other soldiers what to do and not do, with that they practice (boot camp). In boot camp they become soldiers, and committing to be a soldier you are risking your life.
