Destination Brooklyn, Unlocking Mysteries Sep 21st - 24th, 2015

Join Eileen McCarney Muldoon and Olaf Willoughby for a Street Photography workshop in the rich and diverse neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Together we will explore the history of Street Photography.

From Atget's photography of the streets and architecture of Paris...

To Henri Cartier Bresson's decisive moments in Europe...

All the way to American artists such as Robert Frank and contemporary street photography

Our chosen city of Brooklyn, known for cultural distinctions, blending and sometimes clashes will serve as the backbone for our exploration of the streets with our cameras. We will spend each of the three days in a different neighborhood of Brooklyn to learn about the unique culture of the area and follow the progression and growth of street photography as an art form.

While we cannot unlock the mystery and enigma of why Brooklyn served generations of immigrants as the land of dreams, we hope to unlock the mystery and fear of photographing the unstaged reality of the streets of Brooklyn.

Expect to be challenged as we spend the days photographing and evenings editing, reviewing and discussing our work.

Class limited to 12 people.

Fee: $950 tuition only, exc. any bank or Paypal charges. Accommodation : there are numerous hotels in the Brooklyn area to suit all budgets.

To register please contact:: or - we'll reserve your spot and send you payment details

We’re looking forward to an exciting few days! Eileen & Olaf
