Orley Farm School Maths Challenge March 2019

Yesterday, saw Orley Farm School host its very first Maths Challenge Day with more than twenty schools taking part! There was a feeling of nervous energy in the air as the teams waited for the imminent test of their mathematical prowess. The competition was strong, the activities fun and the excitement was palpable. Each team worked hard to solve the various puzzles and conundrums before running to the markers to get their scores.

In the end, I am proud to announce that Orley Farm School came 1st and 3rd in the overall standings. This is a fantastic achievement for our pupils and will give them lasting memories from what was a hugely enjoyable experience. A massive congratulations must go to all those children who took part - their team spirit and camaraderie was evident and it was amazing to see St. George’s Hall alive with such a buzz!

There is a massive amount of work that goes on behind the scenes of an event such as this and sincere thanks go to Mrs Harrison and Douglas Buchanan (@dcbeagle1) for making it all happen - the children truly appreciated your efforts!
