## The Motion in Bowling

Newton's first law states an object will remain at rest unless there is a force pushing against the object. This applies to the pins in bowling. The pins stay still until the ball hits the pins applying force to the pins causing them to move.

Newton's second law of motion explains how the velocity of an object changes depending on the external force. This is law is proven in bowling when a bowler swings back their ball to build momentum giving more force to knock down all 10 pins.

Newton's third and final law states for every action force there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is demonstrated in bowling when the ball hits the pins and the pins fall down. Depending on how much momentum and speed the ball has the pins may go flying or they could not fall down at all.

As most sports Bowling heavily demonstrates Newton's laws of motion. Each aspect of bowling, swinging the ball back to add power and the ball hitting the pins, demonstrate one of Newton's laws of motion.
