2017 Beanpot Finals Boston University terriers v. Harvard university Crimson

Terriers defenseman Bobo Carpenter and forward Keiffer Bellows during a stoppage of play in the second period. Carpenter assisted on Bellows' power-play goal in the second period to even up the score at one.
The Dog Pound, Boston University's student section, was out in full force for the game. Students chanted from the start of the game to when Harvard took a 6-3 lead with 1:50 remaining the game when it became inevitable the Terriers would lose. Chants included "1993," a knock on Harvard's most recent Beanpot title; and "We can't hear you," a jest at the low turnout from Harvard students.
Crimson defenseman Jacob Olson skates away from Terriers defenseman Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson with 8:14 remaining in the second period. Each comitted penalties in the game. Forsbacka Karlsson was called for boarding in the first period and Olson was whistled for slashing in the second period.

Fans watch the 65th Beanpot Final from the lower bowl seating at TD Garden. The first Beanpot tournament was held in 1952. Harvard defeated Boston University 7-4 for the trophy.
Crimson forward Tyler Moy and forward Sean Malone during a stoppage of play. Each finished with two assists.
The Crimson celebrate their first Beanpot title since 1993. No player on the Crimson roster was alive the last time Harvard won the trophy. The Crimson went 23 years between winning the title, but even more amazing is this was the Crimson's first apperance in the Beanpot Final since 2008.
