Importance of Service by Danielle Velasquez

Non Profit Service

Socks for Tots is a non profit service organization in which, socks are decorated and sent to children affected by major hurricanes. Any public or private high school can volunteer and donate white socks that are decorated by each volunteer.

Socks can be decorated with many different art supplies or toys.
Areas such as the United States and the Caribbean islands are affected many many hurricane or tropical storms. Many families lose their homes and many of their clothing. Socks for Tots helps family by have a strong and happy journey to get back up on their feet.
From the pictures, the hurricanes destroy the family's home, but receiving socks to cover and protect their feet will bring a smile to their face.
Socks for Tots will help give families the joy and compassion they so deserve after the tragedy they have faced. Donating to this non profit organization will not only bring different volunteers together, but will bring people of different races and cultures together as one.
