July 9 - We board our flight from JFK to the United Arab Emirates for an overnight flight.
July 10 - Arrive in Dubai, the quintessential land of opulence, wealth and astonishing skyscrapers that stand alongside traditional mosques. Balance of the day is at leisure to rest, relax and acclimate to the adrenaline-charged tempo of this city and your new time zone. Check into the Hyatt Palace Dubai on a half board basis (Breakfast & Dinner included daily).
July 11 - A fabulous day discovering Dubai, one of the world's most futuristic cities with its dramatic skyline, once a tranquil port of Bedouin traders and pearl divers. Spend the day on your own or take the optional 1/2 day City Tour of Dubai: Discover the best of Dubai on a half-day Dubai sightseeing tour with an expert guide. Traveling by comfortable coach or minivan, take in Dubai’s top landmarks as you absorb the cosmopolitan atmosphere. Snap photos of the Burj Al-Arab, the sail-shaped hotel on its own artificial island; learn about local history at the Dubai Museum, ride an ‘abra’ water taxi across Dubai Creek, and much more. Sign off with a visit to the Deira Spice Souk and free time to explore the brilliant Gold Souk. ($50)
July 12 - Today, spend the day on your own or take the optional day trip to the Atlantis Aquaventure & Lost Chamber. Throw yourself into the action of Aquaventure Waterpark in Dubai with an entrance-only, all-day ticket. Part of the Atlantis The Palm resort, the Aquaventure Dubai boasts impressive water rides and adventures fit for all ages. Enjoy the attractions as you wish: career down corkscrew chutes, ride through shark tunnels, watch the little ones at the new Splasher’s Island area, and unwind on the lazy rivers. Then enjoy admission to The Lost Chambers, the Atlantis-themed aquarium containing 65,000 marine animals across 21 exhibits. ($85)
July 13 - Spend the day on your own or take the optional trip to the Desert for a fantastic 4x4 safari, camp visit and dinner show: Embark on a desert safari that includes several mini-adventures in one tour. First, head outside the city for a dune bashing session. See “Big Red,” a famous dune with sides as steep as a black diamond ski run. Then head to a Bedouin camp to enjoy activities such as camel riding, henna painting, hookah, traditional dancing, a buffet barbecue dinner, and more. ($48)
July 14 - Spend the day on your own to go shopping, visit the malls or just relax. Tonight enjoy the optional farewell dinner cruise on the Dhow Dinner Cruise in Dubai. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of Dubai and take a relaxing dinner cruise on a traditional dhow boat that includes hotel transfers. Sail along the Palm Lagoon area and see the city skyline twinkle as you enjoy a delicious buffet dinner accompanied by a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Watch a whirling dervish Tanoura dance and puppet show while you dine to complete your dhow experience ($50)
July 15 - check out of hotel and transfer to airport for flights back to the US
