COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

COVID-19 EMERGENCY SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM

The City received 157 interest forms for the Small Business Grant Program. Per the established criteria City staff informed all the eligible businesses in the first tier and randomly selected businesses in second tier. Staff anticipates issuing checks to the qualified businesses before the end of the month.

Given the limited federal funding, the City is no longer accepting interest forms for this program. If you know of a business that needs financial assistance, starting on August 31 the County of Los Angeles will begin their fourth round of the Los Angeles Region COVID-19 that will provide grants to small businesses. For more information visit www.lacovidfund.org/grants.

COVID-19 TEMPORARY RESIDENTIAL RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The City received 183 interest forms for the Rental Assistance Program. The City has reviewed and approved several applications, but the City will continue to accept interest forms until 71 residents have been approved for the program, which is on a first-come, first-serve basis. To submit an interest form, visit here.

For residents that did not qualify or others interested in rental assistance, please check the Los Angeles County COVID-19 Rent Relief program that was approved by the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, visit https://211la.org/lacounty/rentrelief. Applications will be accepted through August 31.
