On Tuesday night the Spring Valley girls tennis team took to the courts versus visiting Rock Hill. The Vikings proved to be victorious defeating the Bearcats 5 sets to 1.

Thursday night saw our Vikings travel across town to Rival Ridge View. This proved to be a key match for the Vikings giving them a chance to go 2-0 in the region. Your Vikings we able to defeat the Blazers 6 sets to 0. Our JV tennis team also took part in the match and went 3-0 versus Ridge View.

The Lady Vikings and Fox Creek Lady Predators were hosted in a tri-match by Cardinal Newman in a match held at the Wildewood country club on Tuesday. Fox Creek Lady predators finished 1st with a team score of 179 and Spring Valley with a 194 and Cardinal Newman with a 209.

The Lady Cardinals Peyton Burch was low medalist overall shooting an even par 36. Low medalist for Spring Valley was Elaine Craig with a 43. Other team members contributing to low team score were: Maddie Webster, Rosie Garrett and Lillian Amick.

The Boys and Girls Viking Swim Team both traveled to swim against Chapin Thursday night. Spring Valley Boys won (90-80). Girls had some tough competition and fell (52-118). Top finishers were Ellis Murray, Juliana Stacey, Alex May, Elizabeth Johnson, Patrick Quirk, Joseph Frye, Rhett Moore, William Johnson, and Pedro Robertson. The team will swim home against region teams Northwestern and Ridgeview at the Woodlands Country Club Tuesday at 6 pm!

The Lady Vikings Cross Country team had a great day at the Melee at the Castle hosted by West Florence. The Varsity team placed 4th overall with solid performances by the team. The top seven athletes include: Madison McEachern, Molly Westfall, Angel Huang, Gabi Dissinger, Brantley Aycock, Anna Todd and Emily Smoak. The JV team also had a great day, placing 2nd overall with some great first races from many of our girls. Ava Pheps finished 1st overall for the JV team, followed by Lizzie McCallum, Hannah Cook, Clare Venn, Alana Moonan, Aaliya Wiggs and Victoria Noel being the Vikings top 7 finishers. It was a productive day for the entire team.

On Saturday the Vikings competed at West Florence. The varsity finished in 3rd place out of the 15 schools, finishing behind Wando and West Florence. Individually Jack Stacy finished 4th in 17:31, Ethan Taylor was 13th in 18:17, Tyler Shuler was 24th in 18:45, Jackson Inmon was 26th in 18:54, and Sahil Agarwal was 39th in 19:38.

The JV team finished in 3rd place with 62 points, and AC Flora was 1st with 60 points. Individually Joey Swick was 3rd in 20:16, Scott Dillon was 12th in 21:11, Emerson Bonno was 13th in 21:11, Ian Bender was 16th in 21:19, and Louie Bartlett was 18th in 21:25.
