Blaze Workout is a free fitness app for Apple iPhone. It was created for amateur and professional athletes to track and analyze their progress during weight- and cardio training. Every athlete can instantly start his training - the creation of a user account is not required.

80% of our athletes use the free version. With the free version a training without any constraints is already possible. Deeper analysis capabilities can be activated optionally with a one-time in app purchase. Beast Workout does not have a costly subscription model unlike many other comparable apps.

The app supports athletes with the creation and planning of their individual weight- and cardio workouts. A workout is a sequence of exercises that can be chosen and arranged freely within the workout. The user can pick from over 500 exercises. For each exercise, the user can for instance choose the number of sets and repetitions. Once the athlete starts his training, various statistics and metrics are accessible. This helps the athlete to test his limits and push beyond the set goals. Athletes can compare their results with the community for yet another motivational boost.

Our Guiding Principles

  • Clean design: We strongly believe that exceptional user experience is driven by great design. Every athlete should feel right at home when he first uses the app. For us, good design means a clutter free user interface where information is available right there where our users expect it.
  • Keep it simple: Nothing should get between the athlete and his training. This is why every feature is designed for maximum usability. With Blaze Workout, we try to reduce the number of user interactions to an absolute minimum.
  • Advanced analytics: An athlete cannot improve what he cannot measure. Therefore we give our users the right tools to analyze their workout progress with ease. Various metrics are available that are monitored for each exercise and workout. We are convinced that there is currently no app in the Apple App Store that provides an easier progress tracking functionality than Beast Workout.
  • No sign-in necessary: Unlike most other fitness apps, Blaze Workout athletes do not need to create a user account to use the app. After the download, athletes can directly start creating and logging workouts. The majority of the functionality is instantly available.
  • No subscription costs: Most fitness apps on the App Store require expensive monthly subscription fees. Typically the free functionality of those apps is restricted to such an extend that a proper training is almost impossible. Beast Workout changes all this. We believe that every user should have the right to use the app forever without any extra payments. A small subset of premium features can be activated via a one-time purchase.

Key Features of App

  1. More than 500 strength and cardio exercises: The user can choose from a variety of fitness exercises. Over 130 of those exercises require no equipment and are perfect for a home workout in case a gym is not available. The exercise database can be searched via various filter criteria such as the type of equipment, muscle group or popularity.
  2. Full flexibility: Each training can be freely configured. Exercises can easily be arranged within a workout via drag and drop. Different training days can be modelled by creating multiple workout templates.
  3. Training execution: During the training, users can review detailed statistics about their training progress such as a plan versus actual comparison. A rest timer ensures proper time management. A user's current performance can be compared to the values from the previous training or the personal record.
  4. Progress tracking: Detailed statistics are available for every exercise and workout. This allows athletes to identify shortcomings in their training and act accordingly. Metrics like 1RM (One Repetition Max) are directly built into the app.
  5. Comparison with the community: Each user can compare his performance for every exercise with thousands of other Blaze athletes. The comparison is possible with the community average and the community record.
  6. Unlimited workouts: The user has the ability to create as many workout as he wishes. The free version allows to execute an unlimited number of workouts. To also create an unlimited number of ready to use workout templates, the user must purchase the pro version (one-time purchase). The free version allows for four workout templates.
  7. Predefined workout plans: A preconfigured set of workout plans is available for less experienced athletes.
  8. Workout notes and labels: Workouts can be categorized with colored labels. Individual notes can be added to each workout and exercise as well.
  9. Dark mode: The app looks good night and day with its own dark mode design.
  10. Apple Health integration: Completed workouts are automatically synced with Apple Health Kit.
  11. Widgets: The app supports Apple Widgets. A widget allows the to review key workout information directly on the iPhone's home screen.
