Amendment 1 Isabella padilla

Amendment 1 has to do with congress, and them not being able to force people to follow a certain religion. They can't prohibit freedom of exercises. Also they can not limit or control you freedom of speech or they way you speak in public.

This example provides an example of amendment one. It shows the case of Colin Kaepernick, when he didn't stand for the singing of the national Anthem. The court claimed this had to do with amendment 1 and he had the freedom of his choosing.

I can relate to a personal experience when it comes to religion. My mom is catholic and I am also catholic, but ever since I was a little girl I would go to church with my aunt and it's a penicostal church/ Christian. I prefer going to that church more than a Catholic Church because it more fun. So I can always argue back that it states in amendment 1 that I can choose the religion that I prefer.
