June Norcross Webster

One of the most popular and innovative Scout Camps in New England, The June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation is located in the scenic Town of Ashford, Connecticut. "The Reservation" is centered in the heart of the Last Green Valley, a National Park Service Heritage Corridor. JNW is a traditional Summer Camp program that recognizes the fact that Scouts are changing and JNW has evolved with them, without losing the essence of Scouting. We consider ourselves a Traditional Scout Camp, For the Next 100 Years.

NEW IN 2021

A new Scouts BSA Day Camp will be offered at Camp Mattatuck and JN Webster each week that we offer cub day camp. This program is designed for new Webelos crossovers and new Scouts that might not be comfortable going away to camp all week. It is also good for that Scout that has other obligations like a summer job and still wants to earn merit badges. Each Scout will be placed in a patrol under the leadership of a Scoutmaster on staff at each camp. Scouts will have the opportunity to sign up for merit badges while at camp.

New troops looking for their new home will be locked into the 2021 early bird rate regardless of when they make a reservation, no site fee required!
  • March 15th: Deposits of $50 per Scout due
  • May 1st: Early Bird fee of $450 per Scout due (includes deposit)
  • After May 1: regular fee of $475 per Scout (includes deposit)
  • June 15th: Late fee of $495 (webelos cross-overs will remain at the early bird rate of $450)
  • BSA Day Camp $275 & (Bussing available for $50 per week)
  • Workcoeman Adventures $40 a day

Workcoeman Adventures

Workcoeman Adventures: Brand new for 2021, Workcoeman Adventures is a summer long series of single day camps geared towards scouts of all ages. Each day is a new opportunity to explore your interests. Program will run daily (Tuesday-Thursday, Weekends) from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and will focus on one specific merit badge, adventure, or award. Weeks will be themed to ensure scouts get the most out of their experience.

Camperships

The Connecticut Rivers Council will continue to award camperships to assist Scouts in need of funds to attend camp who might not otherwise do so. The annual campership fund is limited and fluctuates from year to year. Similar to Webelos crossovers and new Scouts, campership Scouts will also be afforded the lowest possible rate to attend camp. The unit process for paying for these Scouts is to be determined.

Question We know our troop has Scouts that need Campership assistance in order to attend camp. Should we register them with a $50 deposit by March 15th? Answer Yes, as stated above, campership applicants are always afforded the lowest possible camp fee.

Connecticut Rivers Council Summer Camp Refund Policy

The Connecticut Rivers Council must commit financial resources to purchase equipment, hire staff, and otherwise prepare to provide the high-quality programs in our camps well in advance of the camps opening for the summer. Participants therefore must be prepared to make a financial commitment to attend. Refund requests made before June 15th will be reimbursed the fee minus the cancellation fee of $75. Requests after June 15th will be reimbursed the fee minus the cancellation fee of $150. In the event of illness we will process a refund if you can not attend camp. If a camp attendee presents signs of illness while at camp, we reserve the right to send them home without a refund All requests for refund consideration are to be in writing and sent either in the form of a letter or email to:
