Confucianism By: William Flores

Confuciansim is an ethnic religion. Master Kong AKA Confucius founded Confucianism in China, 551-479 BC. The principles of the religion began before his birth during the Zhou Dynasty (1046-256 BCE).
Confuciansim spread throughout china, the Koreas, and Japan by heirarchial diffusion from the Han dynasty (206 BC - 220 ad). Confuciansim doesn't have branches or anything like that. It is broken down into eight "schools". Mencius, Xunzi, Dong Zhongshu, Song confuciansim, Ming Confucianism, Korean confuciansim, Qing Confucianism, and modern confuciansim. Each "school" focuses on certain aspects more than others from Confucius.
