“He quickened up well and he seems to tick a lot of boxes" - Rachael Blackmore
RP ANALYSIS: A race monopolised by Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott for seven consecutive years. This time Henry de Bromhead produced one much too good. He looks very promising, though the early exit of Navan Grade 2 winner Ashdale Bob robbed the race of an established yardstick. BOB OLINGER, who has looked a top-class prospect since winning a point-to-point for Pat Doyle, captured this Grade 1 prize with impressive authority on his third start over hurdles. Always well positioned, he responded well when the race began to take on its final shape, sealing the issue with a fine jump at the last. Rachael Blackmore ensured he got maximum educational benefit from the exercise by riding him all the way to the line. He can be expected to stay 3m in time but the Ballymore appeals as a suitable target.

Next raceday - Sunday, 31st January 2021
