The Sand Project are delighted to announce they are recruiting for an amazing trainee position, ideally suited to a person from the SEND community.

The Sand Project specialises in working with people with learning difficulties and preparing them for the mainstream workplace. As proud partners of the Worthing based global organisation, ALLERGY THERAPEUTICS, we are now able to offer a training opportunity like no other.
Allergy Therapeutics is a market leading, pioneering immunology business with specialist experience in the research and development of allergy treatments.

We are looking for a trainee to support for 12 weeks, preparing them for the opportunity to interview for a full time paid role at Allergy Therapeutics.

Could You Be Our Trainee?

To apply for this incredible opportunity, you will need the following:

Good literacy skills
Confidence with recognising, matching and counting numbers
Ability to complete delicate tasks with your hands
Computer Skills
Good eye sight
Excellent hygiene standards
Confidence in filling out forms
Comfortable regularly changing into different uniforms, including gloves, glasses, shoe covers and head gear
Following strict rules
Comfortable with dead insects

The Programme

The successful candidate will be expected to commit to the following:

First and second interviews, date to be confirmed
In-house work related training at the SAND cafe with Libby, Marita and Kate, 3 days a week for 12 weeks (dates TBC)
Supported transition into an Allergy Therapeutics role
Interview preparation and formal Allergy Therapeutics interview
Should Allergy Therapeutics decide to offer an employment contract with the trainee, paid employment will commence with immediate effect.
