Clonmacnoise {5th class project}

Monks have been attacked by the vikings 8 times. They sure are lucky they built the round towers.
It is one of the biggest Monestaries in Ireland
There were 17 churches built by monks. Only 6 of them survived. You can find them in Clonmacnoise.
This is the almighty St. Ciarán. He's the lad that founded Clonmacnoise in 455 AD.
Clonmacnoise is in Co. Offaly. This is the map of Ireland. The dark green is Offaly.
It is now a important tourist attraction nowadays.
Clonmacnoise sits between the River Shannon and the great road. Here's a picture of the river.
