Alternative Energy

Solar energy comes from the sun. When light hits the solar panels it is converted into electrical energy.

Wind energy is harnessing the power of moving air. When wind sounds the blades, the mechanical energy is changed in the generator to electrical energy.

Hydroelectricity allows us to use moving water and convert it into electrical energy for use. The moving water spins large turbine as it passes through a dam to turn a generator.

Biofuels are creating from plants. By using the energy stored in plants we can make products such as ethanol to use as fuel to help reduce the about of fossil fuels we use.
