CoWork Oasis and the El Paso Public Library recently completed “Book It & Launch El Paso,” an entrepreneurial-focused initiative that delivered free informative workshops from industry professionals at local libraries throughout the community.

The initiative started by training a majority of library staff in the subject of regional entrepreneurship. The main goal for "Library Staff" was to increase knowledge in entrepreneurship and technology. By implementing a “train the trainer” model, library staff will be able to better serve individuals looking for startup information and support.

Program impacted approximately 75 individuals and were held at various libraries throughout the city. View more information and workshops here

CoWork Oasis also concluded the summer with Innoventure, a youth entrepreneurial program that was also included in the Book It & Launch El Paso Initiative. Innoventure fosters the spirit of invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship by providing new generations of innovators with skills in technical design and business savvy.

In partnership with New Mexico State University Arrowhead, Book It & Launch El Paso also offered "Innoventure" an accelerated program for youth. The program impacted 18 youth and also took place at two El Paso libraries.

Four of the students sold out of their items. Each student made at least $20 and some made up to $75.
