Value, Emphasis, Unity Makayla Holleran

Indian's Dream

I drew and painted a dream catcher. The subject matter of my project is a dream catcher. The name of my project is "Indian's Dream." I used value, emphasis, and unity to create this project. I used value by using the light color in the feathers. I used emphasis by having the strings in the catcher have a bright color that draws attention. I used unity by having all the colors coordinate and make a piece. The mediums I used is water color paint and water color pencils. To make my circles I used a compass. My project was inspired by my family liking Indian themed things. My work doesn't express any personal or social issues. I tried to make my project be happy. I learned to have more patience when drawing and painting. My piece turned out to be almost exactly how I wanted it. This piece will influence future pieces that I do because I like Indian themed things.
