My name is Ty Kilgore and I have been going to Chisholm Trail since 2016 and I am in all Pre-AP and GT classes. One class that I'm in is Pre- AP science with Mrs. Greene.

My favorite lab that we have done was potential and kinetic energy because we got to make a huge tower and a marble rolled down and knocked down some dominoes starting a track.

we made a huge domino track

This is a video of a domino track falling like ours when the marble rolled down the track and hit the dominoes.

In X-Team we have been working on rockets and there is a club that you can join in 7th grade and 8th grade were you construct out of raw materials and no instructions on how to build it. Here is a link to the National Association of Rocketry

Another thing that we have worked on is conductors insulators and convection. The work I did was a study sheet for a test. I did the questions on the sheet so I would know and understand convection conduction and insulators. I learned that convection is the movement caused within a fluid by the tendency of hotter and therefore less dense material to rise, and colder, denser material to sink under the influence of gravity, which consequently results in transfer of heat. It is important because it helps when you grow up to cook and and how to boil.

This is some work I did over conductors convection and insulators.
