The Spatial Experience
The setting of the theatre was quite interesting. When you walk in its pretty small and it builds up from the ground seating to the raised seating. What I felt when I first walked in was a sense of mystery because I didn't really know what the play was about and the first thing I saw was the sets which I thought was very interesting. I sat like five rows back which impacted how I saw the play because it felt almost like I was on stage with them and the voices of each person was so clear so I really got to hear and see up close the actors' expressions. I felt when the lights dimmed and the audience quieted that there was a sense of anticipation and curiosity because you didn't know what was going to happen and where the actors were going to come out of. The size of the auditorium allowed for people to truly be able to see up close the actors and the sets as well as really watch the play. The role of place in the good life is that a place can be a part of your good life like a place can make you feel happy and fulfilled. This photo was taken by me.
The Social Experience
Attending the play with stranger allows for you to see that there are people that come together under one roof to see something that is quite interesting. I saw this play with one of my friends that I met here at UF. We both weren't really enthusiastic about going so we decided to go together. I think going with friends allow you to talk about the play and have fun while doing an assignment for a class. What I did to get ready for the play was change from normal clothes into something nicer since at the theatre you're supposed to wear something nice. Also, I skimmed over the plot of the play to make sure I wasn't completely in the dark when walking into the theatre. Going with friends enhances your experience because you can enjoy things as a group and talk about the play to fully understand it. I think that sharing experiences play a role in the good life because it allows for you to enhance the experience and make lasting memories that are part of your good life.
