March reading month was a blast! We love to hear each child explore in their capabilities to read well by practicing sounds they are mastering in the classroom! Each student stretched their minds to fantasy worlds, the safari, and rocket ships by reading to themselves, out loud to others, or by listening to the stories from a Teacher.
This month is 'National Reading Month'. We are celebrating in Kids Club by reading aloud daily, and each child made a short vowel mini book. During Kids Club the students also made a 'Cat In The Hat' art project. The Troy Library is a wonderful place to take your children to check out books and experience language rich, small group activities, celebrating many special authors. In keeping with literature rich activities, we also made a very tasty treat called ' Veggie Me'. Recipes are a wonderful way to expose children to new words with pictures, and will also help them learn sequencing.
Mrs. Jagirdar Explained about diffusion to the children . She showed them how the diffusion happens by using cold and hot water with the help of food colors. Children observed the movement of molecules from high concentration to lower concentration.
In PE the children took turns moving through the tunnel and also played games with music and movement using familiar songs.
Warm weather & bright smiles! Thankfully, we could return to the playground- WITHOUT snow pants!
Spring is here, it's fantastic to look forward to sunny, healthy days! Thank you for keeping your children healthy and safe.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Devi.
