Spider Hall Farm tops our Friday five. This weekend is the Great Pumpkin Smash. Who doesn't like smashing pumpkins? The farm will host pumpkin relays, pumpkin bowling and pumpkin smashing. The smash starts at 10am and runs to 6pm. Regular admission rates apply.

If you ever wished you could turn back time and gain an hour of sleep. This is your weekend. We turn back the clocks at 2am Saturday evening/Sunday morning. Since most of our clocks are connected to the internet, it shouldn't require a lot if any work from you. No more putting the kids on the school bus in the dark.
What should you do with that extra hour of sleep? Fire Departments across our area want you to test your fire alarm batteries. If you have an alarm that requires a 9 Volt battery, now is the time to change that out. Maryland passed a new law this year requiring a 10 year battery. Are your fire alarms in compliance with the new code?
