Thank you for signing up for the first boudoir marathon of 2017!! I am beyond excited for what this day will bring and I thought I would send you a little info to help make the best of your experience! I believe every woman should have a boudoir experience or an experience to make themselves feel beautiful. A chance to embrace who you are and feel confident and comfortable. So I will work with you and my amazing team to give you images you'll be proud to share with others and images to look at when you need a little confidence boost and a reminder that "You are beautiful, amazing, confident and can take the world on."
What To Bring...
First things first, what to bring to the marathon....
Outfits! Lingerie, underwear, bras, jewelry, oversized shirts, his shirts, shorts, furs etc. Whatever you are comfortable in, bring it! I have some ideas in mind for what the sets will look like (scroll down for descriptions) but if you need an extra set of eyes or help deciding what to bring please shoot me a message and we can go over some details in depth.
Also please bring a robe or something to wear while doing outfit changes. There will be numerous of people here throughout the day and if you need to move throughout the house I want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
Feel free to bring a friend! The day is based mainly around girls doing girly things so feel free to bring along a friend if you feel like you need a little extra support or friendship with you. I will also have some wine available if you need a little confidence boost so if you chose to indulge please have a safe ride home lined up :)
Please bring your foundation as well, Christina has a large spectrum but if you have a tricky skin tone (like mine) finding that perfect match may prove to be a little trickier! Also if you have a favourite shade of lipstick or a product you just love please bring it along too!
Ideas! I will obviously have plenty of ideas when you arrive but if there is something special, a certain request, pose or anything that can make your session just that much more amazing for you, let me know and we will make it happen! Extra points go to the girls who will brave the cold for a winter outdoor shot ;)
How to prepare for the glam team
Jackalynn and Christina have asked for a few small requests to make their days go a little easier and to give you the best experience from them.
Please wash your hair the night before and do not wear a pony tail.
Please come with a clean face with moisturizer on nothing else.
Also please come with the looks you would like for your hair and makeup. If you know Jackalynn or Christina (Inner Beauty Studios out of Dawson Creek) it is encouraged to send your looks before hand so they know exactly how to prepare to give you the best look possible. Or you can forward them to me and I can send them to the girls.
What is in your package
Just a little refresher as to what you are getting in your package
60 minute of shooting time
15 images on an online gallery
A full set of prints size 4x6 (there is an option to up the sizes please inquire if that's something your interested in)
Full hair and makeup
Set design from Farm House Vintage Rentals
The remaining balance of $200.00 is due on the day of the shoot or before
There is also an option to purchase more edits on top of the 15. It will be $10 per extra image
A bit about the sets and where your going
The marathon will be taking place at my home
The directions to my place are.... Head towards pg for about 15 minutes. You will pass Caron creek rv park on your left. Then stone creek sub on your right. After that you'll go around one more corner, up a small hill then around another corner then hit a straight stretch. On the straight stretch I am the second driveway on the left. Right before our driveway in the left hand side ditch there is a memorial sign for brad grey. We are directly after that on the left. There is a gate and a power shack as you enter the property. Please be mindful of times, we are allowing 2 hours for the getting ready process and an hour for shooting. Being on time is important for keeping our team on schedule as well. I will be sending out the times to you within the next day or two so if there is a time that doesn't work please let me know ASAP so I can work that into the schedule
All of the sets are going to be rented from Farm House Vintage Rentals. Sherrill has the most amazing stuff and really helps you bring your visions to life. Here is a link to her page be sure to follow her and she's the sweetest lady alive!
What I have in mind!! One set is going to be very light, airy, romantic. Lots of white, candles, a white wire bed, draping fabrics etc.
Another will have a little more mood to it, I haven't quite decided on what yet but it will have a darker feel to it.
I will also have a vintage couch that is to die for!!
What to expect
Expect to feel nervous when you start, I know I did when I did my boudoir session... But expect to leave feeling great! It's amazing to watch the transformation throughout the day of women who participate. This day is about you and making you feel amazing, so if there is anything we can do to help achieve that, please let me know.
Expect to have your images ready in time for Valentine's Day. I will have the digital images ready for you within 12-14 days and the prints within a week or so after.
And lastly, expect to have an amazing day! As I said before boudoir is an amazing experience and one every woman should do for themselves and their loved one.
