Almost There...Fall Fundraiser Update

The Fall Fundraiser has been extended until next Friday 9/27! We are still working towards our final goal of $10,000 and could use your help. Any donation is greatly appreciated; we still have $3,300 more to go!

Here are just a few ways we use those fundraising dollars to support our school community: student clubs & groups, special CE Family events, teacher grants, classroom supplies & technology, playground equipment, field trips, the snack pantry, and so much more! School Safety Referendum Community Meetings

Carmel Clay Schools will be hosting School Safety Referendum Community Meetings. Dr. Beresford, CCS Superintendent, and other district administrators will provide factual information and respond to inquiries you might have about the School Safety Referendum that will be on the November 5th ballot. Listed below are the dates, times, and places the community meetings will be held.

  • 9/24 6:30pm at Clay Middle School Auditorium
  • 9/26 6:30pm at Carmel Middle School Auditorium
  • 10/3 6:30pm at Creekside Middle School Auditorium

Textbook & Supply Fees Posted

Textbook rental fees for the 2019-2020 school year are now posted in your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please log in to view and pay this year’s fees. Follow these steps after you login:

  1. Navigate to "Resources" on the far left pane
  2. Scroll down to "Textbook Payment" and click on "RYCOR"
  3. View fees for all students and click on the cart in the upper right corner. Choose to pay in full or partial payments

CCS Parent Safety Academy

The next round of the Parent Safety Academy is scheduled for October 23-24 at ESC. During this interactive program, parents will learn about national and state safety practices, current trends in school safety and how these practices and trends impact safety planning at Carmel Clay Schools. Parent input will be integral during the program. Registration is currently available online.

Flag Football Club

Mr. Murphy is hosting flag football club again this year! The club is open to all 3rd, 4th & 5th graders and meets on Tuesdays after school until 3:45PM, starting October 8th. We will use the football field behind Carmel Elementary again this year. No equipment is needed and the club is free to join, but only the first 40 participants to sign up will be accepted.

Sign-up sheets are located in the front office and need to be turned in by no later than October 4th. Any questions can be directed to Mr. Murphy at pmurphy@ccs.k12.in.us or 844-0168 ext.1124

Carmel USA Youth Wrestling Club

Carmel USA Wrestling Club is hosting an annual fall program for elementary and middle school aged athletes. Youth Wrestling League is for Grades K-4, and Middle School Preseason Wrestling League is for Grades 5-8. Participants are placed into separate teams and assigned to individual coaches. Fall Leagues are not only a great place to introduce young student-athletes to the sport of wrestling for the first time, but also an environment even an experienced wrestler can grow and learn. Free Computers

Carmel High School's Net Literacy chapter is making computers available to every K-12 Carmel Clay School family that doesn't have one at home. This year, they are able to donate one computer for each child up to three computers per family. The computers, LCD monitors, keyboards, mice and power cords are black. These are refurbished computers that have been wiped and had fresh software installed on them by the CHS students. Computers will have a Linux operating systems with Open Office. There is no cost for these computers - the computers are donated to the school thus there are no warranties for the computers - they are "as is."
