MAC News ISSUE 9 2017

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Last Wednesday we had our College Photo Day. It was wonderful to see all the students looking so smart and polished in their uniforms as they smiled for the camera. Next term, the photo packages will arrive at the College and will then be sent home to parents and caregivers, each image showing our students another year older and a little (or a lot!) taller than the year before.

While photographs can be used to show our students' identity from a physical point of view, there is an identity that our College is endeavouring to build into each and every one of our students, day by day as they go through their schooling years at MAC. It is an identity that says:

You are treasured. (Deuteronomy 7:6 14:2, 26:18)

You are irreplaceable. (1 Thessalonians 1:4)

You are loved beyond compare. (1 John 4:19, 4:10, 3:16, Romans 5:8, 8:35-39)

You are precious to God. (Isaiah 43:4)

You have a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

As parents and caregivers, I hope you will work alongside the teachers and staff here at the College to help our students build on the truth that they are loved, valued and accepted, and that it is in Him that their true identity can be found.

“Faith does not make things easy, it makes them possible.” Luke 1:37 NLT

As I look up at my wall and see this Bible verse every day, it reminds me that God does not make the path we walk each day easy, He does however make it possible. Regardless of how your week has been, remember that God does not abandon us when we are struggling. He pleads that we have faith, that we communicate with Him so that together we can make all things possible. I hope that you have had a blessed term and we thank you for journeying with us.
