Reese's was created by a man named Harry Burnett Reese in 1928. Reese was a farmer and lived in York County, Pennsylvania. Later in life Harry married a girl named Blanche Edma. They later had 16 CHILDREN! That's a lot of kids!
As the Reese's industry began to grow they came out with a new take on Reese's which Harry called Reese's Pieces. Even though Reese's Pieces were invented in 1978, they became very popular in 1982 when the movie E.T. was released which featured Reese's Pieces. Reese's has also made so many more things that involve peanut butter and chocolate.
If I were to make a commercial about Reese's peanut butter cups I would definetly be sure to include that Reese's do include peanut butter which is a common allergy. Also, that Reese's have been a very popular candy for a very long time! I would also be very sure to include that Reese's products have now become available in the United Kingdom and Austrailia. I would also be sure to add in that Reese's are the second most popular candy in the United States!
