Birds, birds, birds Time flies when you're having fun at Weinberg nature center

We enjoyed learning about animal adaptations at the Weinberg Nature Center. We studied the behavioral and physical adaptations of birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. Cindy Polera, the Scarsdale Village Naturalist, continues to amaze us as she provides opportunities to interact with so many fascinating animals.

A visit with Kirk at Weinberg Nature Center.

On our second field trip to the Weinberg Nature Center, we studied the adaptations of reptiles and amphibians. Using a Venn Diagram, we discovered the similarities and differences between these animal groups. We also came up close and personal as we let Cleopatra, the snake, "hang out" with us!

It took me over 10 years to finally cross let Cleopatra "hang out" with me! Absolutely terrifying but character building?!
