Michael Lopez Mechanical engineering student portfolio

I'm a 24 mechanical engineering student attending a Master Degree in Politecnico di Bari. Based in Bari, I hope to travel all over the world one day.

I was born and raised in the city of Bari, capital City of Puglia, a small Metropolitan city of 1 mln people. On the sea, I moved my first steps towards the World.

During my Bachelor degree I appreciated studying Propulsion, Fluid dynamics and CFD. Because of this, I started focusing my works on the use of open-source and freeware codes such as OpenFOAM. My thesis "Simulation throughout OpenFOAM of a VAWT" has been awarded with 10 points, instead of the usually 4. And I reached my Bachelor with full marks.

"The use of turbine, is the most incredible invention of the First Industrial Revolution" (J. Henriot - Progress of Mechanics)

At the moment I'm studying hard for my CFD exam, examining different models of Cavitation, with the aim of testing many differents code as Ansys CFX, Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, mFix. But many are to come.
