Why college athletes should be paid Connor Hoopman

In college, reading is important

Many normal students do not do most of the reading they need. For student athletes, who are busy and miss some classes, reading is important to academic success.

Attending class is necessary for academic success. Student athletes should go to as many classes as they can.

Student athletes only need a 2.0 to remain eligible to play sports. However, they can have higher GPAs and earn money.

With a student athlete's busy schedule, it is important to study and stay on top of homework.

If student athletes do well on their assignments, they will stay eligible and be compensated.

Student athletes should be compensated with money directly instead of extra scholarship money or other benefits. All college students need cash for daily expenses.
