Dylan James "Boogie Boy" Shaw is a professional vocalist/pianist from Dallas, TX. He has been featured on television, radio, internet broadcasts and viral shows all over the world. His mentors include talented Blues icons like Wanda King (daughter of Freddie King), Bob Margolin (the Muddy Waters band), Bruce Katz (the Allman Brothers band), Victor Wainwright, Anthony Geraci and Grammy nominated Marcia Ball. One listen to Dylan James "Boogie Boy" Shaw and you are taken on a magical blues ride. He says "the blues is all about feeling good about feeling bad" and he wants a "zillion people to feel the soul of his music."

Dylan James "Boogie Boy" Shaw began playing at the age of 3 years old with his blues grandmother. His mother also began teaching him to sing and harmonize, as he had perfect pitch at birth. Dylan James “Boogie Boy” was winning one competition after the next, spotlighted on numerous Dallas editorials, featured on news broadcasts, live radio interviews and elevated to a professional level early on. Julie Bonk, who was Norah Jones' teacher and mentor, began teaching Dylan James as well as his grandmother and Dallas blues piano notable Christian Dozzler. Dylan James “Boogie Boy” has been writing his own original lyrics and songs for many years now and continues to practice his craft every day.

At age 11, Dylan James “Boogie Boy” began earning scholarships from the Pinetop Perkins Foundation and the international Blues Foundation Memphis through Generation Blues. He truly experienced the home of the blues in Clarksdale, MS, where Pinetop Perkins lived and played, as well as many other legendary blues artists. Dylan James “Boogie Boy” has caught the eye of Roland & Yamaha artist development for sponsorship and several blues record labels, who will follow his growth as he gets older.

Dylan James “Boogie Boy” has produced, written and starred in his own internet episode called "Dylan's Marvelous World of Music," where he teaches kids all about the joys of music. His dream is to have his own musical television show one day. He is a special needs musician with a special heartwarming and true story about how music heals! Dylan wants everybody to know the power of music because he is a perfect example of what music can do to lift us up. Everyone that meets Dylan James and hears his music agrees that he is a spark of blues soul in a young person.
