Happy Monday to all!
Last week in Committee, we looked at our report on the draft budget. This will be published at the end of the month, but if you are looking for wee taster, we've come up with a couple of budget related haikus for you. Hopefully they will keep you going until the report comes out.
winter brings budget/ so many charts and tables/ budget lines galore
consider budget!/ numbers dart up or dive down/ like autumn starlings
Please do feel free to send us your own. Remember it should be three lines with five syllables in the first and third line and seven in the middle. Apparently it should also mention a season or it doesn't count. There's an origami paper crane in it for the best we receive!
Send us your budget related haiku and you could win a crane of your own!
This week we turn to another report, and begin looking at the draft report from our EILEU inquiry. We'll be working on that over the next few weeks and again, will let you know when it's ready for reading.
The Committee is also getting ready to turn its focus to energy. We're expecting the Scottish Government's Climate Change Plan this month, along with their energy strategy consultation. In preparation for that, we're out and about today visiting Perth and Dundee to see energy in action. Photos in next week's issue. Until then, wishing you a wonderful week.
