If you like the book Hatchet, then try The Catcher in the Rye.

There are both similarities and differences in these two books.

The similarities include a teenage boy protagonist, trying to cope with life, and dealing with big problems. They're both self-centered and rely on themselves. Both Hatchet and The Catcher in the Rye are coming of age stories. They're both set in real places.

There are also some big differences. There's a big difference in the setting. The Catcher in the Rye takes place in New York City.

The setting for Hatchet is in the Canadian woods.

In Hatchet the main character is trying to survive the wilderness, and in The Catcher in the Rye the main character is trying to survive the city. Also, the time period in the two books is different. The Catcher in the Rye takes place in the 1940's and hatchet takes place in the 1980's.

Both of these books share similar themes and morals. If you liked the book hatchet. Then you'll love reading the Catcher in the Rye.
