A New Way of Learning
Sitting here, at my kitchen table, working from home (my "new normal"), I am simply in awe of our amazing community! While we are embarking on some new territory as a global society, I am so proud to be a part of ONETroy and our Leonard family. There is so much GOOD all around us. Our community is truly living into our core values of kindness, responsibility, respect, integrity, and perseverance. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to all our teachers for creating such meaningful extended learning opportunities for our children. I also want to share my gratitude to our families for their outpouring of support, patience, and encouragement as we unveiled what our distance learning plan would be.
On Wednesday morning, every family received an email from their child's classroom teacher. This email contained links for daily activities to keep the kids engaged in learning while we're apart. Included in those plans was a link to our specials lessons as well. The kids can still learn art, music, physical education, Spanish, and Media from home! If your child receives any Special Education services, you will be contacted by those teachers as well. We plan to stay very connected with you all during this time. If you have any questions about the learning plans, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Here's a sweet story about sharing gratitude with those around you. I hope your children enjoy it!

Future Leonard Events - April 13 and Beyond
At this time, the district is following the directive given by Governor Whitmer to close schools through April 6 (April 10 for us as a result of our spring break). All decisions about events in April and beyond will be made in the future. I promise to keep you informed as we learn more.
Our extended learning opportunities require the use of a device and the ability to connect to the internet. If you need any support in this area, we can help.
