London Smart City is a collective organization looking at Smart Cities from a different perspective. Currently , it’s all being looked at from the top down. The large corporates are all coming up with big systems, mainly to crack government problems. The aim of Smart City is to set up a citizen-based perspective on what people would like a smart city to look like, how they would like to interact with it, and how it will benefit us all.
Who am I and what is my vision?
London Smart City is very new - 2017 was when I decided to put this website together. However, I’ve been interested in the concept of Smart Cities for years, and whilst I’m fully aware that London is up there in the top 3 of the world’s smart cities, I’m also amazed at how little people know about this. It’s up to us to spread the word amongst ourselves, and push the Mayor’s office for what WE want – and I want smartcity.london to be the forum for doing that.
This isn’t something I’m setting up as a company – I want it to be a Non-Profit making concern. And I’m going to need help.
At the moment, I can think of a few sections that I want to set up under ‘FAQ’. If anybody can suggest any more topics, or help in some other way (I want to arrange regular meetings on this topic, get some community involvement going), that would be awesome. Please e-mail me on firstname.lastname@example.org
