Spooner Lake Lake Tahoe, Nevada

Did you know there's another lake besides Lake Tahoe??

Did I ever mention how much I LOVE Lake Tahoe?

There are so many places to explore and I can run around for days! Spooner Lake is another one of those gems and happens to be on the Nevada side.

There's a clear trail all along the perimeter of the lake, making it an easy flat 2.1 mile loop. During the off season we were the only ones there but during busier seasons the trail is also a mountain biking trail, so it can get busy and us pups may need to be leashed to avoid any accidents.

What's great about Spooner Lake is I can run on and off the trail and into the lake as much as I wanted to. You can definitely get dirty here, but hey, it's all fresh mountain water so it's clean, right?!

The other fun thing about coming here in the autumn are the pine cones. They're huge!

While we were hiking one nearly hit me on the head!
