5 Setting Clues By:Caroline drew

Clothing Style:"It was a jumper made of blue gingham!" (Curtis 236). This quote supports my setting clue because no one wears gingham material much anymore, its mostly cotton material.

Transportation:"...Buy a greyhound bus ticket and come to detroit" (Curtis 248). This quote supports my setting clue because Deza rode a bus and today people take ubers and taxis around.

Food:"Thank you very much for the pie." (Curtis 27). This quote supports my setting clue because people used to make pies a lot back then and they don't as much now.

Architectural Style:"Across the street was the address that Mr. Zee said was the new turned leaf, a speakeasy"(Curtis 248). This quote supports my setting clue because no one calls them speakeasy's anymore there called nightclubs.

Language: " A hobo is someone who rides the rails all over the country" (Curtis 181). This quote supports my setting clue because no one hops trains anymore, we drive places.
