The Outsiders Showcasing power Friendship

The book changed me by showing me the power of having friends that have your back. When you have friends, you have people that want to fight for you, and when you have friends they will stick up for you.

When Ponyboy finds the note from Johnny, he feels sad because Johnny died. If Johnny was still alive, Ponyboy might have written him back and he might have said...

Dear Johnny,

Thank you for the note and I liked when we jumped in the fire and saved them kids, im sorry for making you almost die. You are like a brotha to me but you are my best friend dont tell dally. If you died I wouldn't be able to pay you back for that. I would not be able to forgive myself. Dally would have probably stopped smoking for you. I would have been visited your grave or whatever you were put in.

Sincerely,

Ponyboy
