This space will be used to describe/explainwhat the SVA is.
As a recently approved Student Veterans of America Chapter, the National University Student Veterans Organization is supported by the National University Veteran Center, which is located at our Spectrum Campus in San Diego, CA. The Center is staffed by a team of two full-time staff and five part-time Student Veteran Peer Mentors who served, or are currently serving in the military. The mission of the Veteran Center is to help military, veteran, and veteran dependent students exCEL in their military transition and academic journeys through building opportunities that foster Community, Engagement, and Leadership.
The National University Veteran Center offers support services and student engagement opportunities throughout the year that are intended to improve and support the success of student veterans enrolled at National University. From First Week Jam BBQ events where students can kick off the new term with live music, food, and connections to the various student services departments to the Quarterly Welcome Aboard Orientations for newly enrolled students and the numerous transition and success workshops available throughout the year, the Veteran Center provides support to its student veterans as they pursue their higher education goals. See the links below for information on the various programs.
