Mrs. Pfeiffer's fabulous news! April 21, 2017

This week we have been continuing to read, Walk Two Moons. We have been discussing the parallels between the two characters stories along the way. We have also been discussing foreshadowing and how the author is using it to give clues to the future. We have had a few surprises this week. The students are enjoying this novel.

This week we took our Unit 7 test. We spent the first half of the week reviewing and going over the study guide. I tried to help them look for clues within the story problems to help them on the test. We will begin our final unit, Unit 8, next week.

Social Studies

The postcards have started to arrive!! The students have been having fun coloring in their maps while learning about different states. They ask every day if we got any new postcards in the mail. THANK YOU for helping the students with this fun project! Without you, this project would not be possible!!

BEFORE we received any postcards!

Mrs. Habeeb visited our class this week and continued to teach the kids about agriculture. This week she focused on the planting season and everything plants need to grow. Then, they each made a "chia" pet with grass seed that they were able to bring home to grow at home. We had a lot of creative ideas and pets made. Don't forget to add water to your child's cup so they can grow!

Working hard!
