Principal’s Column

Hi everyone,

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding during another change to our restrictions. Stage 4 restrictions have no doubt put another layer of frustration and stress among many families.

On a more brighter note, I have been on many of our teacher’s google classroom sites and I am blown away by the commitment from our teachers to lift engagement for our students. I have enjoyed watching the videos and it makes me very proud of our CNPS staff. A huge shout out to our teachers for keeping our kids going. Another huge shout out goes to our parents who are managing both working from home and taking care of your kids at the same time. I take my hat off to all of you! You are doing an amazing job. Thank you.

2021 Enrolments

We are taking enrolments for 2021. If you have a child who will be joining us next year, or know of someone who has a child starting Foundation, please call Stephanie in our office on 9354 1660 to organise an enrolment form.

School tours have been temporarily postponed in all Victorian Government schools. It is unlikely that we will be able to conduct any school tours this year.

Alexander Charles Peebles

Coburg North Primary School is deeply saddened by the passing of former Principal, Alex Peebles.

Alex was admired and greatly respected by all his colleagues in Education and was widely known as a dedicated and caring Leader. He showed immense care and consideration for all members of his staff. Alex was a much loved member of the CNPS community and will always be remembered for his respectful and close relationships with his staff, students and the local community

Alex was a great man who had such a positive influence on all who knew him.

He will be sadly missed.

Vale Alex!

Deepest sympathy to Cath, David, Cameron, Shauna and Families.

ISO-Photography Competition

Art is considered a vehicle of expression and therapy. During isolation it is important to have an outlet that allows us to explore our creativity in a fun and celebratory manner.

Therefore, we have decided to run an Iso-Photography competition that is open to all members of the school community. The theme for the competition is “Beauty in Isolation”.

There will be categories for students (varying age groups), parents and staff.

Your entries will be showcased on the school website and the winning entries will be compiled into a virtual calendar for 2021.
