Born September 7th, 1533 in Greenwich England to King Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn.

She became Queen at the age of 25 and ruled for 44 years.

Queen Elizabeth I was known as the "Virgin Queen" because she never wanted to marry. She married her job and her people.

She loved music and played the lute.

Artists would honor her by painting her portrait. (Revealing her inner fashionista)

She would control the way artists represented her by imprisoning anyone who did not meet her approval.

The Queen considered her hands to be her best feature and they needed to be present in all of her portraits.

Queen Elizabeth I died March 24th, 1603 at the age of 69.
