How Is The Epiphany Celebrated In Colombia? By: Emily Lievano...January 13, 2017

Colombia is a country that lies at the North tip of South America. In Colombia, January 6th is a day of celebration for people all over the country.

The day that is recognized is a day of festivities. Mainly celebrated to commemorate the Epiphany.

The day of the Epiphany is also known as Three Kings Day. This day is dedicated to celebrating this feast of Manifestation.

The Epiphany demands us to lift our eyes from family celebrations and enjoy everything else around us. To the ends of the Earth, in fact.

January 6th is a National Holiday that is celebrated in Colombia along with others places.

This holiday is known as the Día de los Reyes Magos or Three Kings Day. It can also be called the Epiphany.

Like I basically said before, Epiphany demands that like the three kings that visited Jesus at his birth, we should go back to our own, different countries, and tell everyone that we met Christ.

In many countries, people come out and celebrate in the streets and go to church.

In Colombia, like other countries, they enjoy festivities in the streets and attend special church services.
